Tick Tock Personal Concierge are committed to building healthy workplaces by raising Mental Health awareness and wellbeing. We believe that Mental Health support should be an ongoing focus of every workplace and wider community. We are thrilled to be partnering with Sacred Heart College, Geelong to present a Standard Mental Health First Aid Course (MHFA) to school communities facilitated by Kate Meadows from Be More Mindful. The two-day course allows participants to gain accreditation as a Mental Health First Aider. Mental Health First Aid courses are very relevant both personally and professionally and are highly sort after. The course is authored by Mental Health First Aid Australia and is both research based and supported by many mental health support agencies. The course covers the topics of prevalence of the most common mental health issues, having supporting conversations to guide others to professional help and crisis management. The course is particularly helpful to workplaces to help build the capacity of employees in the area of Mental Health support.
The results of a supportive approach can be seen at an individual, organisational and financial level. Serious Mental Health issues cost Australian Businesses $10.9 billion every year in absenteeism, reduced productivity, and compensation claims. Australian statistics indicate that one in five people have a diagnosed mental illness. An even greater number of people live day to day with the challenges of a variety of Mental Health issues. Completing a Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course is invaluable.
